I kid you not, all the Outlook contacts totally vanished within 48 hours! I had made no changes, nothing, just woke up and bang, they?re gone! Unbelievable! csv or VCard backups, got some great advice from this site but managed to solve the problem by firstly importing these same backup files into my CONTACTS on Gmail, exported them to a file that Outlook finally accepted and everybody was happy.
